This isn't a citizen gun ownership issue. This is about cops having their gun out all the damn time when it is utterly unnecessary.

Why does a cop need the gun on his hip? He doesn't. Have it in his car. Locked up. Far safer and far less inappropriate use.

He doesn't need to be brandishing it all the time. That's how you have situations like this......... all the damn time. Absolutely no good reason, and the cop jerks his pistol so he can be a bad ass and intimidate/get his way:



If a situation is dangerous, stay back and wait for backup.

The point is, it is clear we can't solve this through training. Too many wanna be Dirty Harry types jerking their pistol at every opportunity.
