This trend disturbs me enormously. People take far too much glee in seeing other people and/or their careers destroyed. Whether it is someone famous like Brian Williams of NBC, or an "everyday citizen" like Rachel Dolezal, I think this is a huge problem. Our general lack of empathy for our fellow man is a gigantic problem that seems to be steadily worsening.
