Gromgor, wherever you moved to, I hope there were some serious upsides. I can't imagine living somewhere that had satellite as its only ISP option! *gasp*

The good news is that even on dialup Threshold performs wonderfully.

It's what I was on when I first started playing

I've been spoiled with my cable connection.

Well, aside from the internet issue, it's a beautiful property with a very nice house. Pool with a deck that leads from the back door to the water's edge. Half the property is wooded with trails throughout. It's one of those serene locations that you find in a Thomas Kincaide paintaing or some such.

Actually the satellite option was a no-go....I've never heard of satellite internet not being available somewhere, but whatever. We had to go through U.S. Cellular and we got cellular modems. They only offer 5 GB of bandwidth though. It really was the only option available.

So...if Threshold is the ONLY thing the internet is used for, what's the required usage to burn up that 5 GB a month?

If I play 8 hours a day on my cell phone, I typically use up 3 megbytes every 2 days. So..you should be perfectly fine.

My first 3G service was "just for Threshold", so I got the cheap 100MB/mo offering. It worked, too, until I started using Google Maps and stuff. As Sier says, you will be FINE.

Well that sounds pretty awesome overall.

You won't likely burn through that playing Threshold, so that's the good news.

It'd be nicer if it was a scene from a Kez Kincaid painting.
