Now, if you want to follow the same logic to the conclusion that we should not be picky with racism it is fine but I doubt you would do that. I suspect you believe it is important to battle racism even though it is in human nature. You might have other arguments on why this sort of barbarism is not bad but you did not offer them in your post.
I don't want to deviate from the subject of the threat, but my answer was intentionally vague. Racism and barbarism have nothing in common. You can throw in other concepts you might like more or like less like capitalism and socialism (or democracy vs. despotism) and argue whether we should battle either of them, but that's irrelevant.

As for the concerns you raised - the problem with the western world is that it tries to see the whole world from its eyes. And guess what? The majority of the world is a barbaric world for us westerners. In Saudi Arabia you get your hands cut off if you steal; in Africa, female girls get circumsized. To you it's barbaric, to others it IS the moral ground. The sooner people open their eyes and realize morals are NOT universal, the easier it will be for us to understand how to co-live with different people. As long as we fail to do so, we are actually fighting the foreigners' tradition and therefore advocate some sort of racism ourselves.

Conclusion here - unlike racism that is quite universal (i.e. hate of the other/different) and therefore I can be for or against it, barbarism is more a moral stance and therefore I can not tell you whether I'm for or against it - each and every culture need to find their own way to deal with their communities and if their communities accept that then who are we to argue it's barbaric?

Anyway, that's really off topic so I won't be persuading it any further, I hope this answer satisfies you. If not, you are more than welcome to continue this with a private message.
