You made a vague argument which as far as I understand goes like this: human nature is barbaric therefore we shouldn't be too picky. I just pointed out the same argument works with racism. Now, if you want to follow the same logic to the conclusion that we should not be picky with racism it is fine but I doubt you would do that. I suspect you believe it is important to battle racism even though it is in human nature. You might have other arguments on why this sort of barbarism is not bad but you did not offer them in your post.

I am not interested in flame wars. I understand what you are saying but I think you are being too cautious. Yes, I don't believe there is an absolute moral authority but I believe there are many common sense moral frameworks which are acceptable by most people: for example, to minimise harm to people (you can also throw in conscious creatures, animals etc.) Of course many, including, OBL do not follow this moral framework. For them an action is moral if it is sanctioned by their deity. But given the lack of any evidence for any deity, it is hard to argue for that kind of morality. And once you subscribe for the common sense framework that I just mentioned, killing for pure revenge fails to be moral.
