    Great price point.

Don't understand the need. It's an enlarged iphone. I'm not sure I see anything that can be accomplished you cannot do already with the iphone. Combine that with sacrificing portability, I'm not sure how this will fly.

Doesn't really interest me in the least.
Sure, I got a secret. More 'n one. Don't seem likely I tell 'em to you now, do it? Anyone off Titan colony knows better than to talk to strangers. You're talkin' loud enough for the both of us, though, ain't ya? I've met a dozen like you. Skipped off-home early. Minor graft jobs here and there. Spent some time in the lockdown, but less than you claim. And you're, what, a petty thief with delusions standing? Sad little king of a sad little hill.

Yeah it looks like a giant iPhone.

    What's so great about it?

It looks less useful than other tablet PCs.

I have been hearing quite a lot of hype how its going to take over the eReader market, but its an LED backlit item. That is going to be so harsh to read for hours like you might with say a Kindle or Sony eReader which uses the e-ink. Which is much easier on the eyes. In that respect, I don't see it taking off too much as that.

Another thing while looking at it and thinking....

You have this huge tablet there and you can't draw on it. Sorta stupid. It doesn't come with a stylus for drawing/writing/note taking.

I don't get it. Seems to me the thing is only useful for bored people on the train on the way to work (and back). Sure, you could watch a movie, read something, or play some basic game that would work on a touchpad, but it isn't very useable for most people (and far less convenient than the already inconvenient iPhone).

Carrying on of those things around just screams "rob me!"
The video for it on the apple homepage is sickening in praising it's "revolutionary" capabilities. I couldn't watch the whole thing.

I would be super interested if it was a portable cintiq.

(a screen you can draw on WITH pressure sensitivity)
