After a lifetime of obsession with DRMs, closed architectures, and other anti-consumer stances, why would Steve Jobs suddenly start caring about the consumer?Originally posted by Khaosai
With Steve Jobs being on the list of 5 signatures for the patent I'm going to take the stance that this isn't the evil masterplan for Apple to rule the world via forced advertising.
Steve Jobs cares about Steve Jobs. He doesn't give a crap about the consumer, and his life history of product design kinda shows that. I don't necessarily blame him. It is just idealistic and factually incorrect to think Jobs is any less of a vicious capitalist than say, Bill Gates. He's just not as good at it as Gates.
