That is great! Even better it was caught on tape to humiliate the idiots.

Hmm.. stag parties are MUCH different in the UK than they are here in the US.

The funny part about the video is SEEING the fighters in drag. I think if these two guys were sober there's no way in hell they would have assaulted them. They're buff as hell and look nothing like an actual transvestite. It's almost comical, like if you put Conan-era Arnold in drag. It screams "You really don't want to start this fight" but... being drunk and stupid... we now have a video to laugh at =)

And yes, the behavior is appalling. There's nothing about this that make it even remotely okay or excusable. I don't read a lot of brittish-oriented news, so I don't know if the jovial tone is just a biproduct of the story's origin, or an attempt to ease the concern of the reader ("oh no, this doesn't happen all the time, no need to worry."). And yeah, if I were a judge, I would have thrown a book or two at these idiots.

From my personal experience, whenever a group of heterosexual males attempted to exploit the "femininity" of revelers outside of Bounce in Cleveland, OH they ended up with more than their share of high-heeled shoes in uncomfortable places, and an equivilent bounty of manly fists. I have been one of few straight men fighting alongside my friends at Bounce and I assure you we were quite capable of defending ourselves.

Fag-bashers are not super-villains and Homosexuals aren't damsels in distress.

Or maybe Cleveland queers are not the norm.

That is brilliant, quite what they fucking deserved.

As an aside, people still use the term "fag" and "queer"? On this forum too? What the fuck?

Dude that's a huge aside. Bring it up somewhere else for the love of all things sacred.

"Fag-bashers" aren't super-villains. They're cowardly people who tend to single out someone who can't really defend themselves. Do I honestly need to explain playground bully basics to you? These aren't exactly the pistols at dawn type.

The reason the concept of "hate crime" exists isn't really beacuse the victim is believed to be unable to defend themself. It's more because certain crimes are intended to strike fear into a minority community, and as a society we find that repugnant enough to respond more harshly against it.

I have no doubt there are homosexual mma fighters. Unfortunately, there aren't many/any that are out due to the fact it would probably be damaging to their career.

My apologies for my inconsiderate usage of politically incorrect terminology. I had a point for using the more offensive terms at the end of my earlier post that was lost somewhere between my head and the keyboard. That point was not to offend our own homosexual community, of which I am extremely supportive.

Who gives a fuck? Stop giving words so much power over you. By getting butthurt at their use, you are empowering those who use such terms as weapons.

Don't apologize, everyone using more than 1/4 of their brain got what you meant.
