    Chernobyl

This website (http://www.kiddofspeed.com/) is a pretty incredible documentation of Chernobyl.

A local girl rides through there on a bike taking photos and measurements with Geiger counter.

For someone that grew up with the threat of MAD and was a senior in High School t the time this all happened, this is fascinating to me.

It's interesting to me, because I had heard stories about when my mom was having my brother. She was in the hospital in the US, and had heard the Chernobyl stuff happened. The whole time in the hospital that's all she said she saw, on every channel.

It's so foreign to me to look at those photos and try to imagine anything. There's nothing that I can even compare it to from a life in the US to such disaster zones like that.

Riek, I've just spent about 45 minutes looking at that. Fascinating stuff!
