i haven't looked at any opera security related sites in a while.. last i checked was around browser version 8 or so, but Opera actually out-performed FF in Security

As far as the OP rankings:

    Opera 10:
    1) check (you can turn cookies/stored addresses off entirely, customize which sites you want to keep cookies from, and otherwise set up specific security settings for each website/domain you visit, as well as block specific content from loading, for example if you pull up a site and dont want to have ads load anymore, you can blacklist whole domains from ever loading-- http://*.advertising.com/* for example)
    2) check - earlier versions of opera had problems with java but it has been working well on all the sites i go to with java since version 9.5
    3) so-so (better than FF3 and IE 7/8, but not exactly lightweight)
    4) not sure exactly what features you need to be disabled, but the featureset is highly customizable (likely even moreso than FF but my opinion is really shaky, technologically, i just know that the advanced options allow for an EXTREME amount of customisability, so take that for what it's worth)

Opera's one of my browser set, but it annoys me because it doesn't respond to ThinkPad scrolling. I don't know why, but some programs create their own scroll bars instead of using Windows standard ones, and then the special (and extremely spiffy) IBM-designed scrolling (it's kinda like a scroll wheel only simpler and better suited to the trackpoint mouse). If they could fix that, I would be more likely to use Opera.

I pressed the Ctrl key, but I'm still not in control!
