I think that might actually be my point. His getting elected isn't a major victory. It was all the other things that allowed it was the actual victory. I suppose one could say this is simply recognition of it all. I just can't help but feel that a lot of people voted for him simply because he was black, because doing so kind of "stuck it to the man". Yet "the man" had long since changed it's opinion of such things. Pretty much only the loonies nowadays would actively work against such a thing. Yet that aspect of the election has not even been spoken of in passing.Originally posted by leira
