Favorite Political Quotes of the Season

This one's been out a bit, but it's still going to be pretty hard to trump in my book.

Gloria Steinem explaining why she doesn't want to see Hillary Clinton as VP: "It’s not an independent position, to put it mildly. I would rather see her as the president of the Senate."

Hahahahaha. Someone needs to take middle school civics.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."

I'm sure this is getting eaten up in the media, and cast in all sorts of lights: good and bad. But, I submit it to you with lighthearted humour...

    from an LA Times article

"He did this," Holtz-Eakin said. "The premier innovation in the past 15 years comes right from the commerce committee. So, you're looking at the miracle that John McCain helped create."

    Referring to the Blackberry

    Good stuff.

This is why I frowned when Ari said the VP position is... have to be careful how word this... largely irrelevant?
Stranger, observe our laws! We have both swords and shovels and we doubt that anyone would miss you.

    It is.

    Why were you frowning?
