Mala, I know you are still offended by the MILF comments, but you really need to accept (not like, but accept) that most of those comments were deliberately made for sensational purposes. If you attribute anything more to them, you are just drawing incorrect conclusions.

Your stats actually show that a not insignificant number of additional black voters did vote for Obama and do not normally vote Democrat. The average was 86% in the last four elections, and this time it was 95%.

But can you blame them? If I was black, I think I'd be very, very tempted to vote for a black candidate regardless of his or her politics. And since most national elections these days give us two lame choices anyway, the idea of attaining this "first" would very likely put me over the top.

In other words: if my two choices are pretty meh anyway, I might as well get the benefit of putting someone of my race in the White House for the first time.
