    [META] NFL Football 2008-2009

Lets start this off with a cool, tall glass of haterade.

Merriman weighs options after saying knee ligament is damaged

Couldn't have happened to a nicer, roid abusing, jerk of a cheater.

Anyone from the T.O. area planning on catching the Bills game in December? Or the preseason game they played?

I think it is great that they are playing there, I'd love to go, I've never been to a NFL game (CFL is alright, just, not nearly the same skill level). I do hope that they don't relocate there permanently, though, that would suck for Buffalo fans.

This is a brutal blow to Giants fans.

Congrats Falcons! Another stupid, bone headed decision.

Rookie Ryan to start at QB for Falcons

Have fun ruining your young QB before he even has a chance to MAYBE be good.

I hope its worth the *maybe* 1 or 2 extra wins this gets you as you roll through a 3-6 win season.

    Harsh.

Source: Cardinals set to name QB Warner as starter

Surely there are some ugly junior college harlots ready to console Leinart.

Isn't Warner drawing social security? Bwahahahahaha! Leinart must feel like a total loser.

A glimmer of hope for Giants fans?

    Strahan, Giants discussing return

Ex-New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan and his former team have begun talks about a possible return in the wake of Osi Umenyiora's season-ending knee injury, several media outlets reported Monday, citing unnamed sources.

A team official called and talked to Strahan, 36, who retired in the offseason after helping lead the Giants to a Super Bowl championship, a source close to the seven-time Pro Bowler told the New York Daily News.

"They want to see if there is any interest there," agent Tony Agnone told The Associated Press. "I have to talk to Michael."

Strahan is on vacation in Greece. Agnone said he has not talked to him about the Giants' inquiry.
This article seems a little premature if nobody has even spoken to Strahan yet.

    Great work, espn.com

Strahan tells Giants thanks, but no thanks

The Giants are going to be hurting on D without Osi or Strahan, but I'm glad he stayed retired. I was reminded of an interview with Strahan while the Favre fiasco was going on. A reporter asked him how sure he was about retiring, and he said "1000 percent." It's nice to see someone stick to their story, even if the Giants are worse off for it.

Strahan made the right move. $2 million to talk about football beats $8 million to play and possibly get hurt.

If only Favre would have made the same decision....
