Another Outrage in our Absurd "War on Drugs"

What happened here is a complete outrage. The fact that the innocent victims were the Mayor of the city (and his family) just goes to show that nobody is safe from this kind of horror.

And all of this happened with an "upside" of arresting people selling pot. Oh wow. What a horrible thing.

I don't do drugs. I don't advocate doing drugs. I think doing drugs is foolish, dangerous, and extremely unhealthy. But this kind of extreme method of fighting the "War on Drugs" is a cure that is worse than the disease. Of course, calling it a cure is a misnomer itself since we have never, and will never make much of a dent in drug use anyway.

And for what? For MAYBE catching some pot dealers? I understand that in law enforcements mistakes can happen - sometimes horrible mistakes. But when lethal force is being used, it better be for a damn good reason - like trying to catch a rapist or a murderer or a child molestor or something of that nature. But just to bust someone selling dope is nowhere near important enough for this kind of force.
