Excellent side point. I agree that we strangely care more about animals and are more outraged by animal cruelty than we are about mistreatment of and abuse of children or people.

Look at the Michael Vick case. His football career is over and he'll spend some serious time in prison. But other sports start routinely beat the hell out of their wives and girlfriends and almost nothing happens. Anything short of Rae Carruth just gets ignored.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."

I'd bother to figure out who she is but her boyfriend knows computers and he like totally covered her tracks.

She, whether "she" is truly the adult who did this or someone else, reminds me of David Cash who was at the casino with his friend Jeremy Strohmeyer when he raped and murdered a 7 year old girl, and claimed it wasn't his responsibility to alert the authorities. I honestly do believe that some people while they have the appearance of being human, are not humane.
