Yeah. I read that article and honestly it is a great example of what I have been referring to.

I mean this is just outrageous:

For better or worse, that's our mantra for the 2007 season. After the legitimacy of the three Super Bowl titles was questioned, there was only one response: 19-0. The players keep saying they're taking it one game at a time; I say they're full of crap. They want to join the '72 Dolphins and destroy everyone along the way. Why? Because bleep everybody, that's why. After Welker clinched the Colts game with a crucial first-down catch, he defiantly hopped up and screamed at the poor cornerback covering him, "YOU F------ SUCK!" Unquestionably, it was the defining play of the season -- not just that the Patriots converted the exact same situation that killed them last January (when they could have clinched a Super Bowl trip with one more completion on third-and-short), but that Welker displayed such arrogant disdain after finishing the Colts off.

Normally, I hate crap like that. Not this time.
Honestly, if that is a true story, I hope Wes Welker breaks his leg. That kind of poor sportsmanship is absolutely unforgiveable.

    That's Miami Hurricane type crap.

I don't blame Welker for being frustrated, you should have seen Brady lose his shit and start screaming at the officials after a heinous defensive PI no-call on a slant route in the third quarter. You -never- see anything remotely close to that. The officiating was awful.
All shrank, like boys who unaware,
Ranging the woods to start a hare,
Come to the mouth of the dark lair
Where, growling low, a fierce old bear
    Lies amidst bones and blood.

Doesn't matter. What does that cornerback have to do with the calls? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

What Welker said is absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable. The fact that Boston fans are TRYING to excuse it is exactly the point being made in this thread.

Even Bill Simmons "Normally I'd hate that but"... but what? But your team got caught cheating, and you're mad about it, so now you can do any shitty thing you want and its ok since you are teaching the world you are above the rules?

The Patriots, their coaches, and their players should be acting the OPPOSITE way. They should be showing MORE sportsmanship after getting caught cheating and damaging the reputation of the entire league. But no, somehow they feel like they are above the rules and are now totally justified in absolutely ANYTHING they do from this point forward.

    That's disgusting.
