White House spins mishandling of Al Qaeda tape

    an interesting story here:

    http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com...ves/13186.html

Press Secretary Dana Perino said intelligence agencies would be responsible for investigating what she described as any “process problem” in the alleged disclosure of sensitive information from a tip the administration received in advance of Osama bin Laden’s video message last month.
Politics aside, Dana Perino is HOT!! Anyway....

“Process problem.” Cute. The White House, which abhors leaks unless they’re self-serving, mishandled a video of a top terrorist target, but the problem was with the “process,” not incompetent officials who apparently just ruined an intelligence-gathering operation.
I agree completely, and it wouldn't be the first time. The substance of the tape isn't the issue, but the fact that it was leaked after explicit instructions were given not to, as Al Qaeda hadn't even released it yet. Experts are saying this tape had little to no intel value.

It got out to Fox News even before it got out to law enforcement agencies.
Intelligence firms, and organizations that look at these sorts of tapes for the government are going to now think twice before providing this information to the White House.

The incompetency of this administration and their minions never ceases to amaze me.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said. But I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Yet somehow there's *STILL* a vast, right-wing conspiracy.
