You are the leader of the most powerful nation in the world. Well militarily at least. Plus you live in the history books as a prominent figure. Who was the president of Venezuala before Hugo Chavez took over? More importantly, who the fuck cares? Who was president before Bush? Bill Clinton. Most everyone in the world probably knows that.

But I actually think it's for the prestige and the power. Also the influence in the political arena.
