I am definitely not in that category. I think they *deserved* to be there. I sorta hate the way people are throwing that word around, because to me "deserve" is a low standard. Frankly, any conference champion of any of the BCS conferences at a minimum "deserves" to be there. My proof of that is that if we had an 8 team playoff, I would definitely support (and I think most people would support) the 6 BCS conference champs having automatic bids. Then 2 at-large selections would be made. So winning a major conference at least means someone deserved to be in the game.

I actually think it is somewhat cruel that OSU ended up in the title game this year, because this team is probably not as good as last year's, and is probably not as good as next year's. So in a way they get an unfair ding on their reputation by being put into a game that they shouldn't have had to play. That's sortof how I feel about Hawaii and Arkansas as well. It was pretty unfair that Hawaii had to play UGA, and unranked Arkansas had to play #6 Missouri. But sometimes that's how it works out.
