    Firefox problem

Lately I've been having a problem with Firefox. I use the middle mousewheel to scroll web pages. Lately though whenever I try to use it it seems to increase or decrease the size of the font of the page I'm looking at.

If anyone has any information on what I might need to do to get it to stop would be helpful. Thanks

Normally that is the behavior for holding down the shift key and scrolling.

It sounds like somehow you have changed that behavior to do it without the shift key held down.

If you hit ctrl and scroll, it changes the size of the text. Make sure your ctrl key isn't stuck.

    Almost certainly.

What I find annoying is mixing scrolling with ctrl-clicking to open links in tabs. For instance, if I have the contents page of a large reference work, or a page of search results, and I want to view all (or a large number) of the results, I want to scroll down the list and ctrl-click on everything. And if I fail to release Ctrl in time, bam! Text goes huge.

I pressed the Ctrl key, but I'm still not in control!

Thanks. I'll see if that's the problem next time it occurs.
