I am sure those effected got the email, but Batcave has decided to continue to stay open. Here is the letter that I got from them. So they are still an option for us to use, but I would have a backup like the letter states.

Batcave.net will stay open - we have changed our mind about closing however always keep a good backup of your site as a general rule. Admin - Batcave.net/

    WTF?

They changed their mind about closing down?

That's weird. There has to have been a motive behind that who incident.

Maybe they got a whole lot of letters saying how great the service had been? I for one emailed on the subject.

But then why cancel the service in the first place?

Is it funded by some larger corporation or something?

I mean what is the point of "shutting down" if the reason is so non-serious that you can just change your mind?

If the reason was they couldn't afford it, then what changed?

Their whois doesn't make it obvious who they're backed by, if anyone. It's most peculiar, why would they do this?
