    ProShow like programs?

For anyone who doesn't know ProShow helps you create a slideshow "movie" (I would say - PowerPoint to the advanced). The only problem I have with the program is that I have it on a trial version since I only need to create a couple of "movies" by it. However, when I create the movie, it adds a banner on the bottom of the screen that tells everyone it was created by ProShow - which makes it very ugly.

Does anyone know of a different program that allows me to make a nice slideshow (with music) without having me purchase the whole program for just a couple of uses?

A half-page of C++ code? That's what I did for our Mikado (we needed, effectively, three slides at 1024x600 to project as our backgrounds). I'll give you the source, or if you prefer, I could cruft it together (but that'd be in my Copious Free Time).

Adobe Photoshop Elements allows you to create custom slideshows, that look pretty decent. The trial version wont add any banners or anything to it. Also is a great program to organize photos, and do basic image editing, so purchasing it isn't a bad idea either.

Flash would be best, but the learning curve is rather drastic for only needing it a couple of times.

Camtasia creates movies of anything you run on your screen. We use the licensed version at work and it's great. There is a trial version out there, but cannot vouch for how great it works. If you get stuck, at least it might be an option worth looking at.

Yeah, sorry about the brief reply.. I mean, find a flash gallery or slideshow on the net and use that.

I would think you will have to stuff about a bit with directories and what not to get the executable to point to the right images folder, but is that really more of a waste of time than coding something up from scratch?

    Thanks guys.

As Khaosai said, I really don't want to program something from scratch or learn a new program for just a couple of uses (did I fail to mention I need the movie ready by Wednesday?).

Haigen, Camtasia completely rocks the house and it's much more friendly with the sound.

    Thanks very much!
