Not insulting in the least. I completely agree with you. My point had been that I feel that the overall quality of the candidates (and the quality of their character or whatever else you want to call it) is extremely poor. This is illustrated by the fact that Arnold, due to the facts that he seems like a relatively nice guy and I'm familiar with his movies, is a much more attractive candidate for President.
While I would want to know some background on policies, I would be in the same boat. As it is, all I do is vote for the party I want in, and ignore whichever retart they are trying to get in as PM. I'm still of the opinion though, that I'd rather be voting for someone 'nice' who seems genuine, rather than someone who has 50 years experience, and still hasn't managed to get a damn thing right! After all, can always vote them out again next time around!
