The cop did exactly what he was supposed to do. Blaming it on the cop is just a big of a cop-out (no pun intended) as playing the race card. Why? Because the area had a zero-tolerance policy that it's elected officials put in place and the cops themselves are carrying out. Zero-tolerance means the cop has absolutely zero alternatives other than to arrest the kid....or more correctly the parent since they should have been the ones held responsible for his actions.

If anyone has a problem with what the cops did then they should take it up with their elected officials. Not the people who have to enforce those laws. After they take complaint to their elected officials they should question themselves. "If my area has a zero-tolerance policy and I allow my kids to do it anyway should I even be allowed to get mad when my kids get in trouble for it?"

    HELL NO!

You do not have the right to get angry because your child was committing a crime and was arrested for it. If you don't want a criminal for a son then don't allow him to commit criminal acts.

It was a crime. A cop arrested him. I really fail to see the problem here OTHER than the fact that instead of arresting the kid the cop should have arrested the parents.

If violence is not your last resort, you have failed to resort to enough of it.
