I think things like MMA are a little different though, because with the exception of the punching and slamming, a lot of the stuff they do (the Jiu Jitsu for one) are largely based on skill.
That is one of the biggest misconceptions about steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. It isn't just about getting huge and strong. It is also about recovery time and repairing your muscles when training. People on steroids can train more. They can practice more. They don't need as much rest because their body can recover and rebuild faster. It isn't just about getting gigantic and strong. The advantages are numerous and diverse.

I think when it comes down to it though, it's like the Tour De France, even if there's wide-spread doping and a doping policy you want to at least give the impression that you're doing something to prevent it and are against it fundamentally. Dana is a promoter, and a rather smart business man
Exactly. That's why he talks a lot of smack about how massively against it he is. But that's also why it doesn't ring true to me. Maybe I am just cynical, but I think the exception in ALL pro sports are the people NOT using something. I think the majority are using, and have been for at least 10-20 years of the sport(s).
