According to the article, the woman got sentenced to 90 lashes because she was in a car alone with a man who was not her husband. The original man who was going to blackmail her, not the rapists. That was her choice to go to that man.

I'm not suggesting that I support the sentence, I'm just saying she did not receive 90 lashes (as the article stated she had not received them as yet) and that it was not for being raped.
