Dragging this spin-off debate into this topic wouldn't do anyone any good, though. I am not sure why people seem to want to keep starting it in the first place. The Christians here who believe in modesty as it relates to the Bible haven't made one attempt (that I can see) to begin a debate on the subject.
Please stop trying to use this as an opportunity pick a fight over our moral beliefs.
Not particularly. I was just commenting that you shouldn't push your faith on others, such as in my example. If I was christian, and a woman picked up a pencil, then I'd be at fault for quivering and going "Rawr, woman bending over", not the woman (who may or may not be christian/same sect) who is doing an innocent act. -That- was my point. So no, not off topic at all!
In other words, sure, have your opinions on modesty, but its no good blaming some unrelated female for you getting a 'tingle', the guy/girl (both work) is the one looking. If they don't like the tingle, quit looking, don't say "Omg, you're giving me impure thoughts, bad you, drop that skirt two inches!". Although that opinion stems from the fact that the woman might be wearing a pretty outfit that she thinks she looks attractive in (hence lending her confidence) ...someone saying "Nuh-uh, you have to change right now!" undermines confidence. Least, thats my underlying problem with the whole concept!
