The survey is just about what guys' eyes like. I found some things really odd, like fishnets. I don't think they're any more revealing than any other kind of stocking, but for some reason guys I guess find them immodest. Like I said before, the survey I don't think asked guys whether or not they LIKED the immodesty, only whether they found it immodest to begin with. If you're showing cleavage, I think I can say with some certainty you're not exactly trying to be modest. Whether or not that is okay to do isn't the point of the survey, though. It's just asking what guys think.

It's my belief modest girls get more respect, immodest girls get more attention. Gauge your dress according to how much you want of which. I just think this survey is a good way to see things from the penis point of view.
But that's NOT what the survey is - I mean, in a way it IS from the penis point of view, but not how you mean. It's a survey regarding "stumbling blocks" - which in this context pretty much seems to go with "inciting lust". It's not really a survey of your average man either - it's all presumably strongly Christian dudes and mostly late teens, early twenties.

I underlined one statement in your response because to me that's completely untrue - I think that this survey is saying what the guys think it is okay to do or not do. Honestly, there seems to be a great big embracing of the woman as there to tempt man kind of way of thinking (which in my view hits that vague feminist nerve buried down inside of me).

Take this statement:
Seeing a girl stretching (e.g. arching the back, reaching the arms back, and sticking out the chest) is a stumbling block.

Almost 60% of the respondents agree or strongly agree with that statement - and while some of the text responses say that's on the guy, there seem to be several blaming girls for... what... stretching? My word.

And heaven forbid you show cleavage while in a swimsuit. But is it okay for the guys to swim without shirts?

As an aside, I like my cleavage. I'm reckon I must be an immodest hussy when it comes to that with my V-necked shirts and shirts gathered at the cleavage, but I'm pretty darn sure that's not a turn-off for any guy I've dated, quite honestly.
