Ihrcke told police that killing "the bum" reminded him of playing a violent video game, a police report shows.
I think this is your answer, Utugra.

School is a place for parents to send their children to get rid of them for the bulk of the day. Video games are what parents allow/rely on to keep the children occupied the rest of the time. How many people do you know of who actually have fun with their children on a daily basis? Not many, unfortunately. But, those children are far less likely to end up doing these sorts of things.

If you put a whole lot of 'X' year olds together, are they going to learn how to behave as responsible adults? If games are all they have as hints for how to act, they are subconsciously going to absorb the attributes of their video game heroes. On the other hand, if it is the *nuclear family* that is the unit, adults and children will all learn alike - yes, there is a lot that a child can teach his parents. (Especially in terms of training. I know some 3-year-olds who've trained their parents to perfection, leaving the poor mum wondering why she has this "unruly kid" on her hands.) Young, impressionable minds need role models. They'll find their own if Mum and Dad don't fit the bill.
