Actually, it's because HHO is a total crock. Since I had never heard of this 'HHO' burning process, I decided to research it more thoroughly today. HHO advocates (the couple of them that exist) suggest that HHO includes a 'new' type of magnetic chemical bond that they're calling a 'magnecular bond', that doesn't have even a shred of theoretical physics to support its existence. They make several other claims about HHO's supposed state transistions that are completely contrary to the laws of thermodynamics. No HHO paper has ever made it through peer-review.

I have no idea how this even made the news.
