See, that's not quite right.
- He supported gun control in a densely-populated, crime-infested area. I just heard him on the radio saying he believes that worked for New York, but that he would not impose his city's gun policies in a blanket fashion because not everything works the same everywhere.
- He is pro-choice and makes no bones about it. He's honest up front. However, he is very much against abortion itself. It's a freedom issue for him. He's also against partial-birth abortion entirely and is completely in support of parental notification issues.
- He is not exactly for gay marriage. Marriage = man + woman. He said that in his own words. His support for "gay rights" extends only as far as civil partnerships for taxational purposes, etc.
So yeah, I expect a bunch of hate in the primary about his kinda-lefty points. For me, though, they're not far enough left to be a problem -- at least not like John McCain is ... BLEH!
