I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense to like or dislike someone based on who else may or may not like them.

I just see too often when someone will dismiss someone (usu. public figures) because Group A likes them. It's like letting someone else decide your friends for you.

Anyway, you did get my second statement (which was just an extension of the first) since you did answer it.

And I agree, you don't want a mass media group to decide you you like, but by the same token, you shouldn't allow them to decide who you don't like. I'm pretty confident this isn't what you were saying, however.
