I don't doubt we're a bit more unhealthy than some of these other nations, but that's not because our healthcare sucks. Let's be honest, we're one of the most affluent countries in the world and the U.S. in general is addicted to the fast food that accommodates our fast-paced work lives. Is it so hard to see that because of those two facts, we just plain pay more for healthcare and lead less healthy lives? It's not a case for socialist medicine.
