Yes, this president will be judged on Iraq. If it becomes largely like the rest of the shit pool over there, he won't have a legacy. If it becomes a major turning point in the hate, violence, and oppression in the region, then he will be remembered in well regard like Ronald Regan (collapse of the USSR) and Theodore Roosevelt-William Howard Taft (Invasion, occupation, and rebuilding of Germany/Japan). It's a risky business trying to make a change in the world. Many presidents on both sides have tried and failed, but at least they had the courage to try.

I'm just glad he won't be remembered mostly for getting blown in the oval office.
