I don't know -- I seem to think that, were another "Holocaust"-style event to happen, it might be from one of the regimes that actually officially advocated the destruction of an entire race or culture of people. You know. Let's say one or two of those existed. Somewhere around Iran.

Clearly a certain Islamic state who has repeatedly called for the destruction of a certain ethnic group and is developing nuclear weapons has no plans to actually -destroy- that ethnic group! But, the Americans probably will. If Denzel was there, it can happen.

Either you don't read the threads or you look to argue with no apparent reason.

Laugh and ridicule the holocaust as much as you want (I will tell you a little secret - sometimes Jews laugh about it as well. After all, there's no better way to deal with things than laugh about it), but this isn't about ridiculing the holocaust - it's about questioning whether it happened at all.

Do you have any doubts in mind? I mean, aren't the pictures enough for you? Aren't 21 million dead Russians enough to prove it? And what about the millions of Jews, gypsies, cripples, homosexuals, etc. who were slain by the vile Nazis?

Laugh all you want about it, but our worst crime as a humanity would be to not condemn those who attempt to blur the obvious truth - and be it any event/genocide in humanity (not just the Jewish holocaust).

Having taken your original post as a whole, I didn't believe you denied the event. However, I do fail to see the parallels that you draw between Holocaust jokes and a nation that outright denies it ever happened. Iran is not joking about the Holocaust; they deny it ever happened. That having been said, who cares about a joke? We are talking about state-approval of historical revisionism.

Look up some recent history, reference the Danish cartoon that sparked so very much controversey, Theo Van Gogh, alleged Koran mistreatment at Guantanamo Bay, or whatever else strikes your fancy.

Fair enough!! However, I still find it interesting that Christianity is ridiculed so much and it's acceptable, but the Holocaust isn't.
Whether you endorse the idea or not, anything and everything is fair game. It's just a question of whether you're willing to deal with the backlash of public opinion.

The thing is, the Holocaust -is- ridiculed by Iran. Look up the Holocaust Cartoon exhibition that Iran recently sponsored. It was DIRECTLY attributed to the Mohammed cartoon - the state said "Ok, since everyone is all for free speech, we can have a big contest to make fun of the Holocaust, right?". Notable lack of worldwide Jewish/Gypsy/homosexual/Polish/etc outrage.

Mohammed cartoons = outrage, Holocaust cartoons = no outrage.

The point you're making has already been disproven - the Holocaust is not a sacred cow.

The holocaust didn't occur. It was invented by the American gov't simple to give reason to invade Germany.

This was done by greedy corporate America to gain footing and control upon valuable German beer securities.

Germany never did anything wrong, WWI was just a setup for WWII so we could "finish the the beer war"...
