Ah yes, let's state that the genocide of the Jews and all the others who died during the Holocaust didn't happen. That way we can move on to denying the genocide in Rwanda, the genocide presently happening in Darfur and all the others I don't even know about. That should take a load off of everyone's conscience.

The fact alone that there's actually a summit about this is really quite surprising to me.
Why is it you can ridicule and make jokes about Jesus, Christianity, and Mohammed and the Koran, but not the Holocaust?

You can make jokes about things that aren't comparatively fresh in people's minds, and consequently painful. I would strongly advise against joking about someone's weight when they're trying to diet; and yet, with other people (Harry Secombe, for instance), it's not a tender subject, so girth jokes are quite appropriate.

Uh, no one is joking about the Holocaust - an Islamic republic whose President has previously stated that the Holocaust never happened is now hosting a committee to decide whether or not, in fact, it did or did not occur.
