Week 7 FF Prize Update
We're just barely done with half the season and teams are beginning to show their mettle as well as where they are soft.
This, of course, means it's time for a FF Prize Update!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Comeback Kid: To be determined, but it would seem those eligible are as follows:
8. Blitzers 3-4-0 438.42
9. Cleveland Steamers 2-5-0 440.35
10. Hapoel Beer Sheva 2-5-0 427.65
11. Gridiron Gorians 2-5-0 405.85
DFL Practice Squad 2-5-0 370.90
Possibly even Daryonn's Ben-Gals at 4-3-0, considering his dismal start for the season.
Murphy's Team: At this time, there's no clear front-runner, everyone is pretty much were they should be in the rankings, with the exception of the Anti-Murhpy's Team, the Powder Puffs. The numbers are saying that Vin is in the lead with a .581 ranking-to-points ratio, followed by Pyryth's Pokeys with .772, then Yarzin's Dem TEABAGGAS with .777. We may need to consider a ranking cap on this category, like no team in the playoffs may win!
The Streak: At this time, The clear leaders are Aelyn's The Real Dolls and Falix's Powder Puffs with 4 Wins. However, coming up strong behind them are the Pokeys, Vin's Fancy Prancers, and the Ben-Gals all with 3 Wins.
The Punisher: With 2 wins under his belt, Jidoe's Hapoel Beer Sheva have the largest average margin of victory to date with 33.30 points and the Pokeys with 6 wins are second with 29.31 points, followed closely by Isaviel's Blitzers with 3 wins and 25.14 points, Leshrak's Practice Squad with 2 wins and 24.80 points, and finally, Gadiantor's Gridiron Gorians with 2 wins and 22.75 points. With most of the teams leading this category in the bottom of the rankings, I'm considering amending this category as well to include "a winning record" to keep with the spirit of "week in and week out". However, this is a HUGE conflict of interest for me, as I'm the one that would benefit at this moment is that were the case. So I would like to ask Aristotle to arbitrate, in a sense, to more clearly define what the rule of law is/should be here.
The Brain: Much less controversial category. The leaders to date are Dem TEABAGGAS with a 6.92 Average Difference From Optimal (DFO), followed by the Blitzers with a 8.09 DFO, the Pokeys with a 8.36 DFO and Hapoel Beer Sheva with a 8.69 DFO.
Smack Talker Extraordinare: This of course depends on the verbal fortitude of the still-competing managers
Best Defense: The leaders so far are the Powder Puffs with an Average Points Against (APA) of 52.00 (Which would explaing his many wins), followed not so far behind by the Ben-Gals at 56.85 APA, then far behind by the Practice Squad (61.26 APA), The Real Dolls (61.93 APA), and the Blitzers (62.03 APA). Everyone else is slightly higher, up to as high as the Fancy Prancers with 76.25 APA. So it could still be anyone's prize!
So at this time, we have a couple of categories that need clarification, Murphy's Team and The Punisher. In Murphy's Team category, I propose that the winning team not be in the playoffs. In The Punisher, I'm proposing that the winning team at least have a winning record. I'm satisfied with whatever Aristotle should decide. If anyone's is not satisfied with Aristotle deciding the clarifications, please object ASAP, otherwise, accept his judgment as final.
Oh, yes. Please move all smack talk regarding this update to the FF '06 thread here: Fantasy Football '06
Thank You!
