This guy is such an unbelieveable asshole. It is bad enough that when he got caught cheating a few years ago (tutors were taking tests for his players), he saved his team's butt by digging up and divulging enough dirt to get Alabama (a more famous and storied program, and thus more attractive to the NCAA) suspended.

But now, after his absolute suck year where his team was inconsistent as hell and he did a horrible job coaching (juggling his QBs back and forth never letting either one of them run the offense), this is the kind of crap he says:

"I didn't like being home for Christmas," Fulmer said. "My wife [Vicky] said, 'You've got to do something. You're driving me nuts.' I was making her miserable. We went away with my daughters for a couple of days. We went over to Asheville. Just made her miserable over there. Watching some [bowl] games, when you knew you were better than 90 percent of the teams you're watching. Disappointment. Just terrible."
No, asshole. You were not better than 90% of the teams in bowl games. You had a LOSING RECORD. For that matter, Tennessee was nearly embarassed by MEPHIS at home as well (which would have made them 4-6). Tennessee lost to VANDERBILT at home!

Only a prick like Phil Fulmer would show such little respect for other teams that peformed much better than his orange menace. The other teams earned their spots into the bowl games. Tennessee had a losing season, and bad coaching was a major reason. But Fulmer is too much of an arrogant, blame-deflecting asshole to acknowledge that.

God I hate Tennessee and Phil Fulmer so much.
