    Man Charged With Homicide?

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,186237,00.html

This. Is a somewhat bizarre story.

For the sake of discussion, let's say his story is true. Which, one kind of has to assume it would be, else why would she let herself be dangled over the balcony without any signs of struggle?

Should he be charged with Homicide?

I'm thinking no. Assuming his story is true, the man has to wake up to a hangover knowing that he's a fucktard that killed his girlfriend by doing stupid shit. There's enough guilt there to last a lifetime. That's enough punishment for me.

I don't think it would be a huge crime if he plead to some involuntary manslaughter charge and did a few years time.

I don't think it would be a huge crime against society if he did no time for the reasons you stated.

It will probably come down to family of the girl and how harsh the DA is.
    Don't get too perky!

He was most likely both drunk and high, based on the whole "possession of drug paraphanalia" charge.

Regardless, in my opinion, this sort of irresponsibility needs to be punished. He'll feel horrible and guilty and whatnot for the rest of his life, sure, and he'll have plenty of time to reflect on it in jail for hopefully years.

Drinking a crazy amount still doesn't usually lead to hanging people out of windows for fun. There were probably illegal drugs involved in this death, and if that's the case, this man deserves many years in prison for that alone.

I usually can't find pity for this kind of stupidity. This is all assuming that it was an accident, though. Continuing on this assumption, if she was also drunk and/or drugged up enough and let him do this, that's her own fault as well. In the guy's defense, if it was an accident, the girl is equally to blame.

Look at it as if he was driving drunk as shit and she was the passenger and he killed her. I personally think this is a lot dumber but the punishment should reflect that.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. People don't get forced to drink. There might be peer pressure. There might be whatever. But noone is forced to do drugs or drink. Even if someone were to be forced to do drugs or drink, this guy wasn't. People choose their actions. If you choose to drink you are still responsible for what you do while under the influence.

If we dismissed it as "He was drunk" then everybody who gets arrested for drunk driving should be let go. Some of the reasoning being applied sets up a double standard. Fact is he CHOSE to drink and do drugs. He CHOSE to hang a young girl out of a window. Was it premeditated? I doubt it. Was it involuntary? Most likely. Is a young girl dead because he was acting like a dumb fuck? You bet your sweet ass their ass. There is no tolerance to be given for what people do while intoxicated in any fashion simply because they're drunk or high.

    Boo hoo hoo.

So what? He'll go to the bar and drink away his anguish at dropping his girlfriend 250 feet through a window and onto concrete? Poor guy.

Meanwhile there's a family having to bury their daughter (who incidently is a fucking moron for even being with someone like that) and, if the quoted logic is what the judge believes, spends the rest of their lives knowing that the guy who dangled their daughter over a ledge and then dropped her gets to go free....because he has a hangover.

We must be reading different threads, because I'm not sure who your suppose to be arguing with here. No one has made a post saying he should not be punished because he was drinking. Or high.

Let's not forget those colorful individuals that lack a conscience. You drink/do drugs or both then do stupid shit you pay the consequences. Damn. A twenty-third floor is f'in high.
