Ok, the kid lives in PA and it's two days before the Steelers play the Broncos. I'd say the kid is showing some balls by wearing the jersey, good for him. Also, he's wearing number 7 (if he'd been wearing 16 this would be a different discussion), so he's showing respect for a good player as well. While I'd rather have seen him in an older version of the Broncos uniform I'll let that go, the kid doesn't know any better.
The teacher calls him a "stinking Denver fan," and has everyone throw wadded up paper at him. Additionally, he makes him sit on the floor to take a test. Not the way I'd have addressed the issue, but to each there own. The kid is now saying he was humiliated, and somehow contacted the press about it...
Ok, the kid now loses credit for having balls. If you think you were treated unfairly take it to the principal and/or the school board. Wear your jersey every day, especially after the loss. If you're going to do something ballsy go all the way! Don't expect to do something like that and not take some harassment.
Now, back to the teacher. He said that the class is designed to make people uncomfortable. It’s an ethnicity class…why do you need to intentionally make people feel uncomfortable about ethnicity? And how is which football team someone supports an ethnic issue? Shouldn’t we be trying to teach our children to be comfortable with their ethnicity and all others? This guy is a jackass trying to pretend an embarrassing incident was some sort of teaching technique. Admit you took it too far instead of making yourself look even more fucktarded! (yes, that’s a word)
