I don't know about that.
Phillips has been a head coach before, and wasn't horrible (resounding endorsement). Wade's record as a coach includes five full seasons and two partial ones. Of his five full seasons, three were winning seasons and he made the playoffs, one was a losing season, and once he was .500. I'm not saying I'd hire him, but he's better than some of the chumps who will likely get interviews.
