They are trying to make it sound like they are moving toward a "plus one" system, which will open the door to a playoff system in the future. Do they really think that by adding one more bowl game and saying they are opening the door for a plus one system which will open the door to a playoff system is going to fool anybody? They are adding a bowl game to get more money. End of story. All this BS about opening up possibilities of an eventual playoff system is just spin.

You know, they are probably having a hard time accepting a playoff system since no other college sport has a playoff system already in place. Certainly no other college sport has a well established system that has massive fan interest. [/sarcasm]
