I wouldn't call him one of the best players in the league today either. However, I do think he's one of the most -exciting- players to watch, despite his inconsistencies. I've also got to admit bias, because I'm a sucker for an explosive running quarterback. Not only are they a rare breed, that quality in a quarterback is often (justifiably) looked down upon for its perceived ties to poor judgement and passing ability.

Obviously there are guys who are exciting to watch and up at the top of the league skillwise. My favorite example of that in my football-viewing lifetime is Barry Sanders, but that's a debate for another thread .
