The larger airlines like Air Canada must suffer from shitty management. I can't imagine their business is suffering that badly, considering Canadian Airlines went belly up, and now their only real competition is Westjet.
Air Canada has had so many federal bailouts, it's appauling.
It's cheaper for me to fly from Calgary to England, than Calgary to Halifax.
By the sounds of it, the reasons given for keeping poorly run airlines up in the sky are dumb, and eventually, these businesses will, or should go under.
