I'm not a supporter of the airlines, and tend to agee with you, so it is going to be a pretty weak defense, but as has been mentioned there would be serious repercussions, and I think if you look at the way we spend public money on roads and so forth, you get the idea that transportation in general is just one of those basics that people seem to be more willing to allow the government to prop up than others.


Mostly I need to just plead ignorance I guess. I'm not real up on the ins and outs of the airline industry. But I do resent how it seems they constantly fritter their ways into or near bankruptcy and then get dragged back, especially since there are profitable airlines out there that seem poised to take their places.
