HAHAHAHAHA:

Pitt 0-3 for first time since '84

Dave Wanstedt is 0-3 now. Pitt started the year ranked. Will people please wake up and realize that Wanstedt is an assistant coach, not a head coach? How many more teams does he have to run into the ground as head coach?

WOOT

Sooners 1-2 for first time since '97

Oklahoma has been ridiculously overrated for both of the last 2 seasons. They should NOT have been playing for the National Championship in 2003 (it should have been LSU vs. USC) or 2004 (it should have been USC vs. Auburn). It is nice to see that at least this year, we won't have to worry about them screwing up the national title picture.

Best of all:

Backups lead Georgia in rout

What is great about this win:
  • A big 44-7 win is great for our offense and defense.
  • The only score against UGA was the result of an onside kick. I hate to see UGA fall for this but at least they had it happen against a team they crushed, to make them more prepared for it against better teams.
  • The fact that the backups did much of this speaks very well about UGA's depth. It also means a lot of people got some real game play time. That always helps over the season.
  • Leonard Pope was held out for disciplinary reasons. I REALLY like a coach who will take serious action against players (especially when it is a star player) who get out of line.
  • Danny Ware averaged 8.4 yards per carry.
  • Brandon Coutu kicked a 58 yard FG. It is nice to (possibly) have a quality placekicker again.
  • D.J. Shockley had another great game.
