First let me begin with saying that Liathano's post in the College wk 2 thread made me think of starting this one.

Is it me, or are a very large number of Professional teams coordinators, and coaches moving "backwards" in the system?

Going from NFL big profile positions to the college level as head coaches or even coordinators for NCAA programs should be looked at as a downgrade in their career by logic. But personally, and I know that many fans agree, college sports are far more entertaining than professional in recent history.

I coach football, and I would much rather be a part of an NCAA team, hell even a legacy/powerhouse HS program, than any NFL franchise.

Has the NFL simply become a proving grounds for good coaches and staff?
