Thank God at least Yzerman didn't retire. Our city can't handle a blow like that just yet.
It definitely is sad to see so many of these familiar faces leave the game all at the same time. These are all guys I've grown up watching/studying/emulating.
I think next year will also be a big year for retirements as well. I expect Mario Lemieux and Steve Yzerman will call it a career, not to mention countless others who are pushing the 40-year old mark.
Retirements are sucking, but at least hockey is back. As expected, not missing a beat here in Hockeytown. This week's training camp for the Wings is sold out. Our hockey fans here rule.
