Overall, I am looking forward to this. I hope their system is a good one. The NFL system is retarded imho. If your goal is to get the calls right, then get the calls right. Don't make it part of the "strategy" of the game where you have to risk losing a time out (which could change the outcome of the game) just because you want to get a call right.

The MWC is the only conference that uses a coach's challenge. That is an irrelevant conference so that's no big deal I guess.
I think it is interesting that three conferences use TiVO for their replay equipment. XOS and DVSports are the other technologies in use. I am VERY interested to see which one comes out on top (I love a good technology battle!).
The list of things that cannot be reviewed often vexes me:
Ok....... Why the hell can't personal fouls and "identifying fight participants" be reviewed? They NEED those reviewed so they can make sure they get every asshole doing some lame, unsportsmanlike thing. However, some plays may not be reviewed with the use of instant replay. These include: holding, offsides/encroachment, pass interference, personal fouls, illegal blocks, illegal formations, face mask, taunting/excessive celebration, false starts, roughing the passer/kicker and identifying fight participants.
Don't even get me started about the taunting/excessive celebration rule.... grrrr....
If this was the NFL, I would also be against the unreviewability of pass interference, but in college that is only a 10 yard penalty and automatic first down so that's not really a big deal (defensive holding is the same penalty, after all).
